Leaves have little chlorophyll factories inside them to attract sunlight to produce the food necessary for the tree’s growth. In the fall, those chlorophyll factories close down, draining the fresh green from the leaves. They dry up & fall to the ground, as they no longer serve the tree. How many old beliefs & thought patterns do we have that have dried up & don’t serve us, yet we hang on? Imagine if the trees held onto those dried leaves, year after year. How would the tree look? Would there be less space for the new green leaves to come in? Is that what we do to our own selves when we hold on? Thank you nature for showing us how to gracefully let go to make space for newness.
